Most writing about Kalyan West is written about Kalyan West. It talks about the corridor, the growth story and the ring road, and it could be about any of a dozen pockets. This piece is about one of them: Beturkar Pada, the stretch on Khadakpada Road where Shelar Supremus is being built, and what it is actually like to be there on an ordinary Tuesday.
Where it is, precisely
Beturkar Pada sits within Khadakpada, Kalyan West 421301, in Thane district. On the ground it is the pocket where the Khadakpada retail belt meets the older residential lanes behind it. The developer describes the site as near Shelar Residency, opposite Gaavdevi Hotel, which is a good direction to give an auto driver and tells you something about the character of the place: it is navigated by landmarks that locals know, not by tower names.
Worth saying plainly, because it gets muddled: Shelar Residency is a separate building under a separate promoter. It is a landmark here, not a lineage.

The daily-life texture
The thing that distinguishes Beturkar Pada from the newer Kalyan launches is that it is already a place. The lanes behind Khadakpada Road are established residential, which means the shops you need on a Sunday evening exist, the roads are used rather than promised, and you are not buying into a five-year wait for a neighbourhood to arrive.
The trade-off is the trade-off of every established pocket: it is denser and less orderly than a masterplanned township, and the arterial carries real traffic. Which is precisely why the position matters. A plot set on Khadakpada Road with the residential lanes behind it gets the convenience of the belt without sitting in the middle of it, and this is the specific thing to test when you visit. Stand at the gate at 9 a.m. and again at 9 p.m. and listen.
The everyday runs
The distances we could corroborate for this address are short. Reliance Digital is about 600 m away, which puts the Khadakpada retail cluster effectively at the gate. D Mart is about 1.7 km, comfortably the weekly-shop rather than the daily-milk distance. Kalyan Junction is about 2.2 km.
The developer separately publishes its own drive-time list for the site: Khadakpada Circle 3 minutes, Big Cinemas 3 minutes, Reliance Smart 4 minutes, Pulse Hospital 6 minutes, Cinemax 6 minutes and D Mart 9 minutes. Treat those as the builder's off-peak estimates rather than as measurements. A 1.7 km run to D Mart is not the same trip at 9 a.m. on a Monday as it is at 3 p.m. on a Tuesday, and neither is anything else on that list.
Khadakpada Circle is the junction that feeds the rest of the Kalyan road network, and it is the piece that determines whether a given trip is easy or annoying. If you are moving here, drive your actual commute at your actual departure time before you sign. It is the single most informative hour you will spend on the decision.
The station, which is what really prices this pocket
Kalyan Junction is roughly 2.2 km away, and it is the reason property in Khadakpada is worth what it is worth. It is one of the busiest junctions on the suburban and long-distance network, and access to it underwrites the whole Kalyan West market. Everything else in this piece is texture; the station is the economics.
The metro claim, and why to ignore it for now
Kalyan has no operating metro line. Line 12, planned between Kalyan and Taloja, is under construction. You will nonetheless read that this address is metro-connected, in the present tense, on more than one website selling flats here.
It is not. A corridor under construction is a reasonable upside case and a poor reason to pay a premium today. Buy Beturkar Pada for the station, the road network and the fact that the neighbourhood already functions. If the metro opens on the far side of your possession date, treat it as a bonus.

What to check when you visit
- Water. Ask neighbours in the surrounding buildings about supply timings and pressure. This is the question that separates a good address from a difficult one and it never appears in a brochure.
- The approach road at peak. Not the arterial, the last two hundred metres.
- Parking on the lane. How much of it is on-street, and what that will look like in five years.
- Schools and clinics you would actually use. Go and see them rather than counting pins on a map, because a pin does not tell you about admissions or queues.
- The evening walk. Whether there is somewhere to do one, and whether it is lit.
- Drainage. Ask what the lane looks like in July. Ask a shopkeeper, not a salesperson.
Who Beturkar Pada suits
It suits a buyer who wants an established Kalyan West address with the station within a short run and the retail belt within walking distance, and who prefers a neighbourhood that already works to one that is promised. It suits a family that will use a small clubhouse rather than an enormous one. It suits somebody buying to live rather than to flip.
It suits somebody less if they want a large gated masterplan with internal roads and a two-acre park, because that is a different product on a different kind of plot, and Kalyan West has those too.
Shelar Supremus is the project on this road that this site is about: two towers, G+3+27, thirty storeys on two acres, five homes per floor, 1, 2 and 3 BHK plus jodi combinations, MahaRERA PR1330002500941, registered completion December 2029. See the location page for the corroborated distances, and the price and verification guide for what is and is not established about the numbers.
